Oh, and just to make my cold weather friends jealous, it is 71 degrees here today:)

Wow, it does not take them long to become pros at unwrapping. So we could not possibly read the same story books before nap time any longer so I sneaked her a couple books to open. Bad mommy! A cow book and puppy book. Maybe Da will let us go buy just a couple more books, maybe.

Santa visited our house a bit early this year

Well we did it, we gave her a few toys. She was playing with my pots and pans so many times yesterday that when Brad got home from work, we gave her some presents. She received her own set of pans with spatulas and her kitchen set. In our defense, I did pick up the kitchen set at a garage sale so we felt kinda bad giving it to her for Christmas anyways. It was so adorable, she played with it all night. She didn't even want to go to bed. She washed dishes, cooked "oatmeal with apples", (aka, crackers and goldfish), and would put dishes in the freezer because she said they were "hot". Wonder where she got that from? (I usually stick her food in the freezer to cool off a bit quicker, especially her oatmeal and apples). She was such a little momma, it was so so cute. Here are a few pics...

Hurray!! I think I am done shopping for Christmas. Tonight is the Christmas play at our church so Ava and I will head to that before Daddy gets home from work. Isn't it funny how your real names get so interchangeable with Mommy and Daddy? I really need some coffee right now to wake up but I am going to settle for some chocolate's that Nana sent early (see even they don't have real names anymore). It is a beautiful, terribly windy, sunny day here. We are ready to give Ava her presents so she will have new toys to play with. Guess we will have to wait a few more days. I am thinking that we will bake Jesus a chocolate cake for His birthday, He must like chocolate cake. Well, right now I am going to go get that chocolate fix and try to get motivated to pick up toys and mop the floor. Hurray...

It is cold, not just one of those 40 degrees, it's cold days but one of those wet, foggy wintery cold days. The only trip we made out today was to Albertsons. I just can't resist those "buy one get one free" deals. Of course, Bug (a.k.a. Ava) sucked me up for M&M's on the way out and of course, I can't just let her eat the whole bag so here I am with hurting teeth from trying to race my daughter through a bag of M&M's. See, my theory is, the faster I eat them, the less she will have to eat and when they are all gone, she is more accepting that they are all gone and not hiding in mommy's purse somewhere. I am sure there are other mom's who understand. Well, as much as I would love a nap, (Jake is snoring in the corner and Ava is fast asleep), I have a big pile of clothes beside me that says I can't. I also need to check the prep time for the sausage potato soup we are having tonight. Well here's to everyone staying warm! Love, Esther
