Ava snuggled up on her couch with her "peek-a-boo" blanket as she calls it. She has to have three blankets, her pink one, white one, and her peek-a-boo blanket. The pink one I bought, white one was from Nana Millette, and the peek-a-boo was made by Grandma Yohe!

My hungry wild baby bird! (the mom wasn't feeding it, it fell out of the tree and I waited a day to see if the mom was feeding it (after helping it get through one night), the poor baby was about to die, but as you can see here, is doing quite well!

Ava opening a fun package from Nana Millette!

So excited about her new pool! We bought a plastic one last night and she got so excited she was twirling and yelling all about in the garage while her daddy was blowing it up. Unfortunetly, the air kept coming out of that one so here is the one we bought today. She wanted a purple one with a little slide. She loves it.
A super cute close-up I took of her today!!

Lately Ava has a cute little habit of going into her room and coming out all "dressed up" with various items of clothing. This time it was the hat, glasses (upside down!), and shoes. It is adorable. She told me she was going to the mall!

One of the funniest memories I have from childhood is "playing house". My brothers and sisters and I would make the coolest and biggest towns from storybooks and blocks. Bernstein bears would be our "people" and it was such fun!! Ava also loves to play "house" and "zoo". It is lots of fun but so much for Ava that she often doesn't want to leave the house. I had to carry her out sideways just to get her to go to the store today. Well, I guess there could be worse things...

I have such wonderful friends, today is my birthday and they went all out to show me a special day! I recieved wonderful thoughtful presents, like a huge present bag of all kinds of different brownie mixes, a wonderful cookbook, a veggie tales DVD about queen Esther so my daughter can learn all about "me", makeup in my favorite shades. Sweet thoughtful presents that only people that care about you would give. Thank you Helen, Susie, Fenny, and Marilyn! You really made my day special!

It is a beautiful day here. The first time we have been able to play outside in weeks. So I spoiled her, we went to the park and then to Chuck E. Cheese. She is now napping very soundly. We had a very nice Christmas and a quiet New Year's. Unfortunately my oven is broken so there was no baking for New Year's. Now it is time to look forward (or groan for mine), as birthdays are fast approaching. We have lots of friends that will celebrate birthdays right around Ava's so there will be some happening months. I think I need to put a birthday allotment into our budget. For Ava we are looking at outdoor playscapes. I want one with a swing that I can actually swing on but our yard is not that big so it can't be too big. And it has to have a slide. A little tunnel would be cool too. Is it too late to ask Santa?
